First person to score two victories wins. Gimmicks may apply
to this match (Cage, Hardcore, etc.).
Ambulance - First person to throw their opponent into the
back of an ambulance wins.
Bar Room Brawl -
Hardcore match which starts in a bar.
Battle Royal - Throw
your opponent over the top rope, last man standing is the
winner. There can also be Tag Team Battle Royals, where if
one member of a tag team is eliminated, the whole team is
eliminated.
Bikini Match - Women
only, judges vote for the winner.
Boiler Room Brawl -
First person to escape from the Boiler Room wins. Hardcore
rules apply.
Bra and Panties
(Evening Gown) - Women only, strip your opponent down to her
bra and panties or evening gown to win.
Buried Alive - First
person to bury their opponent in a hole (grave size) is the
winner.
Cage - Match takes
place in a 15 foot steel cage with an open top. Winner may
climb over the top or escape from the door to win. In some
cases, pinfalls and submissions are allowed.
Casket - First person
to throw their opponent in a casket and shut the lid is the
winner.
Chain (Strap, Collar)
- Wrestlers are tied together somehow. First person to touch
the four turnbuckles is the winner.
Dumpster - Lock your
opponent in the dumpster and you’re the winner. You can also
have tag team dumpster matches were you lock a tag team in
the dumpster, and a flaming dumpster match were you lock
your opponent in and set it un-fire.
Elimination - When a
wrestler is pinned he loses and goes backstage, while the
others continue until there is one winner. You can also have
tag team elimination, where if one member of a tag team is
eliminated, the whole team is eliminated.
Empty Arena - Hardcore
match in an empty arena with no fans live.
Falls Count Anywhere -
Pins or Submissions apply anywhere. Hardcore rules usually
apply.
Fatal Four-Way - First
person to score a pinfall/submission wins. Elimination rules
may apply.
First Blood - First
person to bleed loses.
Flag - First person to
capture the other opponent(s) flag is the winner.
Gauntlet - A wrestler
(or tag team) has to face several wrestlers, one on one,
until all of them are eliminated. If the wrestler is
‘running the gauntlet’, and is eliminated by another person,
he loses.
Hardcore (No Holds Barred)
- Must force your opponent to submit or pin them. You
can use any weapon you want, anything goes.
Hell in a Cell -
Defeat your opponent in a twenty foot high cage (with a
roof) via pinfall or submission. Cage surrounds the ring.
I Quit - Force your
opponent to say the words “I Quit” to win.
Inferno - Fire
surrounds the ring. Set your opponent un-fire to win.
Inter-gender Tag -
Regular tag team match, however it’s man/woman vs.
man/woman. In some cases, the women can only fight the
women, and the men can only fight the men.
Iron Man - Most wins (pinfalls/submissions)
in a specified period of time wins. Match is usually an hour
long.
Ladder - Wrestler has
to climb the ladder and retrieve the item (belt or money
usually) to win.
Last Man Standing (Death
Match) - Match continues until a wrestler can’t get up
after ten seconds. Hardcore rules apply.
Lions Den - Wrestlers
fight in the Lions Den (UFC Octagon Cage). Opponent must
submit for wrestler to win.
Lumberjack - Other
wrestlers surround the ring. When a wrestler is sent out of
the ring, the lumberjacks (wrestlers on the outside) can
beat the wrestler up.
One on One - Standard
match, winner may win via DQ, count-out, pinfall or
submission.
Pole - There is a pole
on one of the turnbuckles with an object hanging
from/sitting on a platform. Retrieve the item (and in some
cases, use it) and you win.
Pool (Gravy Bowl, Mud,
Eggnog, etc.) - Women only, pin your opponent in a pool
filled with water (gravy, mud, eggnog, jello, whatever) to
win.
Scaffold - Fight on a
catwalk high above the ring until a person falls off. Winner
is the wrestler left standing.
Submission - Force
your opponent to tap out and you win.
Table - Put your
opponent(s) through a table to win. In a tag team table
match, both members of a tag team have to be put through a
table. When one member from the tag team has been put
through the table, he can’t do anything to help his partner.
Tag Team - Two teams
of two wrestlers face each other, while only one member from
each team can face one member from the other team.
Interference from the other member will not disqualify the
team, however they will be sent back to the corner.
TLC (Tables, Ladders and
Chairs) - Hardcore match with various tag teams. First
person to get the belts hanging above the ring wins.
TLCC (Tables, Ladders,
Chairs and Canes) - Refer to TLC match.
Triple Cage - Wrestler
must climb to the top of three cages stacked on top of each
other to win the match (and/or the belt).
Triple Threat - One
fall match, three wrestlers fight all at once. First person
to score a pinfall/submission is the winner.
Turmoil - Multiple Tag
Team (or Wrestler) match. There cannot be more than two
wrestlers (one from each team) in the ring at a time. A new
team enters after one has been eliminated, until there is
one final team.
War Games - Cage match
with a bunch of wrestlers. Tag team rules may apply as well. |
